#5: The Google Antitrust Trial — From Inside the Courtroom

Episode Summary

In October 2020, the US Department of Justice (DOJ), joined by 11 states, filed a lawsuit alleging that Google had illegally maintained a monopoly in three markets—the market for general search services, search advertising and general search text advertising. After extensive discovery and pre-trial motions, trial began in late September of this year. Adam Kovacevich and Vidushi Dyall, both of the Chamber of Progress, joined the show to give us their take on how the DOJ has presented its case.
